After being obsessed with the TV show we had to go back and read (or re-read) the book.

The Deal is a solid start to an amazing series on Hockey Romance, its a real ensemble of characters where each person feels like they're there for a reason.

Hannah and Garett are so cute. This is a fake dating plot where she agrees to tutor him if he helps her get the guy she fancies, oopsie they fall in love instead. Their banter is great, he's hot and plays hockey, she's a musician, the dream combo.

This story deals with historic sexual assault in a really respectful way as it impact the narrative and plot. The spice did reflect this too in the best way. It was hot but respectful and contextual. Everything in this book (and series) is v respectful to women which we obviously loved!
